Railway Components & Vehicles

Railway Components & Vehicles

Within the European market, approval according EN 15085 (supersedes DIN 6700) is a corner stone for recognition and acceptance of rail equipment in Germany and other EU Member states, and essential when conducting business within the European Union and markets well beyond the European Economic Market.

ECE provides approval and certification services for engineering and manufacturing companies of rail equipment. Our clientele includes companies seeking EN 15085 certifications as well as single unit approvals. In addition, we can provide support with the implementation of the required quality systems, the development of testing procedures, and the approval and certification of welding procedures and welder/ welding operators.

Our professional engineers, welding and quality system experts provide their expertise to the railway market and support our clientele from the first step all the way through the certification process. It is our job to simplify this process so as to eliminate the need for other consulting involvements.

We actively support our clientele with the knowledge and tools necessary to achieve the required certification. If requested, we prepare our clients to the maximum possible level of independency in the design, manufacture, testing, and certification of rail equipment, depending on their company’s strategies, abilities and commitment.

Partnerships:

ECE Global, Inc. is recognized by the Eisenbahn Bundesamt (EBA), the German Governmental Office for Rail Equipment Approvals. This recognition allows us to more efficiently support you with your approvals for the welding of rail equipment (trains, working equipment, parts, etc.). The final approval and certification of systems, staff and your facility is our goal.

ECE maintains partnerships with accredited organizations located in Germany. These partnerships are a key factor in helping us to reduce the time and cost of your certification. Besides the reduction of travel expenses due to our locally based personnel, necessary communications with German-only speaking accreditation offices can be done in a single pass by our bilingual (English-German) staff. The elimination of miscommunications and time zone differences, as well as guiding your organization right through the presentation of your certification and approval plans to the respective governmental office, is just one of the advantages of working with ECE Global. To partner with us, contact ECE today!
