Certification Services:

The basis of the agreement between ECE and DNV is as follows:

ECE Global can provide CE Marking certification as part of DNV’s certification division. Our staff is fully integrated in training and certification requirements of DNV and hence is considered part of the group.

Pre-Certification & Consulting Services

When engineering or manufacturing process support is needed, ECE Global can provide consultative services to your enterprise. When rendering Pre-Certification & Consulting services, we are acting as an independent service provider. We provide services to support your strategies and to fill gaps and needs, implementing procedures and approval strategies or actual approvals based on your individual vision.

In the event that you seek approvals and accept DNV Services, ECE Global can prepare your organization for the official approvals. Once our task is completed, we hand our results to inspectors from DNV, who will complete the task. In addition to cost and time savings, you will benefit from a high level of approval success rates on the first try. This is related to the fact that ECE professionals are part of DNV training programs and exchange meetings.

This alliance works due to the fact that we have significant experience obtaining certification according to European laws and requirements. Our business plan and US-European knowledge base compliments DNV’s strategic business goals.

What can we do?

We can assist with services related to the following directives:

• Transportable Pressure Equipment
• Simple Pressure Equipment
• Machinery Directive
• Low Voltage Directive

We are qualified to perform certification services for pressure equipment and welding. Depending on the Equipment/Product Category and the required CE Marking Assessment Procedures for compliance, DNV acts as the official review and approval body. If the Equipment/Product Category allows self declarations, we can act without DNV’s involvement.

Please note: Not all classes of pressure equipment require the involvement of a Notified Body. There are specific rules and requirements which mandate Notified Body involvement. We can review your product and determine when and if a Notified Body is mandated, thus offering our clientele a potential for additional cost savings.

When equipment must be approved by a Notified Body, we cannot provide consulting services and certification services at the same time. However, if the equipment is not subject to the approval by a Notified Body, we are available to support your organization with all services involved to obtain certification of your product.
