Welding is a special process, which requires the coordination of welding operations in order to establish confidence in welding fabrication and reliable performance in service. The tasks and responsibilities of personnel involved in welding-related activities (e. g. planning, executing, supervising and inspection) should be clearly defined.
Quality-related responsibilities and tasks included in the coordination of welding-related activities, which are becoming more complex, due to the influence of international organizations efforts in globalization. The management of quality control and quality assurance are an essential part of every days focus. Cost savings, while increasing quality is a a mastery that must be accomplished.
The general knowledge requirements of all welding coordination personnel requires adequate technical knowledge to ensure satisfactory performance of these tasks.
The following factors shall be considered:
- general technical knowledge;
- specialized technical knowledge in welding and allied processes relevant to the assigned tasks, which shall be attained by a combination of theoretical knowledge, training and/or experience.
This training will discuss welding supervisory / coordinator responsibilities. Welding standards and quality system requirement standards are included and contribute widely to the effectiveness of the training.
